Asda Marketing reshuffle sees more emphasis placed online

Rick Bendel, global chief marketing officer at Asda has been handed additional responsibilities for marketing the company through online channels.

Andy Clarke, CEO of the business has reshuffled the senior management team within Asda to improve its online and financial businesses, with Bendel set to work alongside chief operating officer Simon King in overseeing the online business, while Arnu Misra is said to be reviewing the company’s new business strategies across online, home shopping and financial services.

“The Marketing department remains under Rick Bendel's leadership - including the marketing side of online. Simon King, COO will continue to deal with the operational elements of online,” a spokesperson for Asda explained.

The company is currently recruiting for a head of digital traffic for Asda digital and financial services as seeking an e-commerce product manager to work at its Head Office.
