New store leadership roles created to drive reshaped Homebase

Homebase Bingley

The transformation of Homebase continues with significant investment in store teams. The business is recruiting for more than 80 store leadership roles in stores across the UK and Ireland.

Leadership opportunities will be available in stores in England, Scotland and Wales from Bradford to Bristol and Wick to Whitby.

With the business focused on improving its existing performance through better retail execution, investing in people is critical to the future success of the business. Store Managers are at the forefront of this transformation with full responsibility for the stores’ merchandising and financial performance as well as leading the store teams.

New owner Bunnings is investing in additional stock and training team members. It has also made a commitment to Always Low Prices, to offer customers better value across a wide range of home improvement and garden products.

They also decided to do away with zero-hours contracts for all the company’s 12,000 team members.

“There’s never been a more exciting time to join Homebase. We’re focused on building a high quality team and want to ensure the business is being led by the right people, with the right culture and commercial vision as we gear up for the roll out of Bunnings Warehouse. Best service is at the heart of our business, and we are dedicated to providing all our team members with extensive training as we begin our journey to building the best home improvement and garden business in the UK and Ireland.

“Our store operations team are the face of our business. They’re the people who meet our customers and keep our stores running smoothly every day. So managing and motivating those teams is critical to our success. These are big roles that suit people who work smart and have great leadership qualities,” said Craig Wallace,
