Nottingham is next on the list for The Range

The Range sign

The Range has confirmed that it will be opening a third branch in Nottinghamshire this July.

The new store will be located at the Castle Retail Park, off Radford Boulevard, whilst also trading out of two other branches in the county including Lady Bay Retail Park, in Meadow Lane and Station Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield.

The Range is currently one of the fastest growing home and DIY retailers in the UK and has expanded to over 140 branches. The original founder of the business Chris Dawson said: "Opening a new store is always a proud moment for the company and Nottingham is no exception. We already have another store in Nottingham so it will be great to open a second one in the city. The creation of 80 jobs in the area should be a fantastic boost to the local economy.

"I am sure that The Range will provide something for everyone and we look forward to inviting the local community down to celebrate the opening later this year."

It is expected that the store will create 80 new jobs for the local area, including store manager, deputy manager, office manager, warehouse manager, sales manager, supervisors, office assistants, security, cleaners, general sales assistants and warehouse assistants.

Councillor Sam Webster, the city council's portfolio holder for business, education and skills, said: "We're delighted to support the recruitment of so many exciting roles with a leading UK retailer. I urge anyone who wishes to work in retail, customer service, or supervisory roles to consider applying. The new store is in the heart of the Radford area of Nottingham so we're hoping many people from the local community will apply."
