Tradesman Saver - The Tool Theft Gap - May 2026

New research from Tradesman Saver found that 71% of UK tradespeople are unaware of the proposed Theft of Tools of Trade (Sentencing) Bill, despite 93% supporting tougher action against tool theft once the legislation was explained.

The research also revealed that 42% of tradespeople have already been victims of tool theft, rising to 51% among those aged 35 to 44.
