Aldi to offer cut price DIY tools
Discount supermarket chain Aldi is offering a range of cut-price DIY tools, available from September 12, 2010.
The store's own-brand Powercraft range includes a 950w belt sander at £19.99 and a selection of assorted wood drills at £2.99 each. Customers can choose from Forstner drill bits, drill saw bits, a screw fit punch set, a countersink drill set or a plug cutter set.
Also available are a 1200w router at £19.99 and a router table at £24.99.
The Powercraft range was originally supplied by Omega Wolf, who went into administration in 2009. At the time, administrators KPMG cited Omega Wolf's relationship with the supermarket as a main contributing factor to the company's demise.
