Allied Carpets Retail folds
Allied Carpets Retail has gone into administration after selling 24 of its stores to Savana Trading.
Leonard Curtis has been appointed administrator of Allied Carpets Retail and four of its stores. Nine other stores have been closed down.
Allied Carpets Retail was owned by the retail-restructuring firm Hilco
Leonard Curtis said it would look to sell the remaining four stores as a going concern.
Allied Carpets Retail took over 51 stores when Allied Carpets UK Ltd and Allied Carpets Properties Ltd went into administration in July 2009
