Asda Appoints Darren Blackhurst As Chief Commercial Officer, Food

Asda today announced the appointment of Darren Blackhurst as its new Chief Commercial Officer, Food.

This appointment marks a return to Asda for Darren, who previously held the same role from 2006 to 2010. A seasoned retail executive, he brings extensive experience, having previously held board-level positions at Matalan, Morrisons and Coles in Australia.

He succeeds Kris Comerford, who has decided to step down after three years with Asda.

Darren will take up the role at the end of July.
