B&M has opened two new stores today, one in Hall Green, Birmingham, and another in Tannery Retail Park, Stourport on Severn.

Stourport on Severn - Tannery Retail Park

This morning at 8am on Friday 1st August, B&M store colleagues gathered outside the doors of their brand-new store located in Tannery Retail Park, Stourport on Severn.

The long-anticipated opening of this exciting discount hotspot was officially unveiled by local charity, Kidderminster Foodbank, who celebrated alongside store colleagues as the first customers were welcomed inside.

After taking possession of a unit previously inhabited by Co-Op, the new B&M store has undergone an extensive internal and external refurbishment programme to provide a sales space of 16,273sqft. and give customers the famous B&M layout, discounts and fantastic range of products.

Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded groceries for the best possible price, including a range of food, drink, and pet food. There is also a fantastic selection of quality health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts, and plenty more to explore.

The launch of this brand-new B&M store is a much-needed boost to the local economy and has created a total of 34 new jobs for local people.

B&M’s store manager commented: “We’re feeling extremely positive about creating more jobs for locals and we’re excited to be a part of the Stourport community. We hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.”

To mark the special occasion, B&M store colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity who they think deserves the spotlight for all the hard work they do in the local community. They chose the team from Kidderminster Foodbank to take centre stage and officially unveil the new B&M store with a ceremonial ribbon cutting.

Kidderminster Foodbank doesn’t believe anyone in the community should have to face going hungry. That’s why the foodbank provides three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. Kidderminster Foodbank is part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussel Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger.

B&M’s store manager proudly stated:Kidderminster Foodbank really stood out for us, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done within the community of Stourport. We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
