To mark the occasion, B&M store colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity they think deserves the spotlight for all the hard work they have done in the local community. They chose the team from Broxbourne Foodbank to take centre stage and officially unveil the new B&M Waltham Cross store.

Broxbourne Foodbank is a vital community service supporting local people facing crisis by ensuring no one has to go hungry. Through compassion, dignity, and practical help, the foodbank provides three days nutritionally balanced emergency food to individuals and families when they need it most.

As part of a nationwide network supported by The Trussel Trust, Broxbourne Foodbank work s alongside local partners to tackle poverty and hunger across the UK. With the help of community donations and volunteers, they offer not just food, but hope, reassurance, and a pathway to brighter days ahead.

B&M's store manager reflected on this choice of charity by stating that:

"Broxbourne Foodbank really stood out for us, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they have done in the local community. We hope that our donation can help them continue the great work they do."
