B&M Opens New Stamford Store In Former Homebase Unit

At 8am on Saturday 13th September, B&M colleagues gathered outside their brand-new store located in Stamford Retail Park, to celebrate its grand opening and welcome in their first customers.

The store manager from B&M stated: “We’re really excited to get the doors open and welcome new customers through the door.”

The launch of this new B&M discount store is a welcome boost to the local economy, creating 120 new jobs for local people and providing the community with exciting bargains across a range of departments.

After taking over a former Homebase store, the new unit has undergone an extensive internal and external refurbishment programme to provide a sales space of 28,221sqft along with a mezzanine sales floor or 9,214sqft. The store now features the classic B&M layout and is packed full of amazing bargains for customers to explore.

Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded groceries for the best possible price including a range of food, drink, and pet food. There will also be a fantastic selection of quality health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts, and plenty more to explore.

The store also boasts its own 11,582sqft garden centre, selling hundreds of plant varieties and garden essentials for green fingered locals.

To celebrate the grand opening of the new Stamford store, B&M store colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity who they think deserves the spotlight for all the hard work they have done in the local community. They chose the team from MindSpace Stamford to take centre stage and officially open the store with a ceremonial ribbon cut.

MindSpace Stamford is a local charity committed to improving the wellbeing of the people who live, work, and learn in Stamford and the surrounding areas. Helping them to flourish. They encourage conversations around positive wellbeing in homes, businesses, and schools, offering a range of activities based on their ‘5 ways to wellbeing’ ethos, to encourage positive mental health and wellbeing.

B&M’s store manager also commented: “MindSpace Stamford really stood out for us, and we love what they do for their local community.”
