BMF says builders merchant sales slowed 2.3% in Q4 2011
Builders' merchants sales nationally were down 2.3% for the three months October 2011-December 2011 when compared with the same three months in 2010, according to figures released by the Builders' Merchants Federation.
When adjusted for both price inflation and trading day differences they were down 15.0% when compared with the preceding three month period July 2011-September 2011.
The 12-month comparison was down by 4.4% over the previous year and the monthly comparison was down by 2.0% when compared with December last year.
