Bunnings begins recruitment drive for new Folkestone store

Bunnings recruitment

Bunnings has commenced its recruitment drive in Kent, as it prepares to open its fifth UK store in Folkestone in July.

As well as moving staff from the current Homebase store in Folkestone, as with both the St.Albans stores, the company is looking to employ an additional 40 full and part time team members to work at the new branch.

The company has this week started advertising a number of new positions including customer service team members, supervisors and department managers.

The rates are very competitive with supervisors due to earn £9 an hour, customer service team members £7.90 an hour, which is £1.50 and £0.40 an hour respectively more than the minimum wage of £7.50 an hour.

The new Bunnings' website reads:

"There's never been a more exciting time to join Homebase. We're always looking for great people to join our team, and whether you're helping a customer to spruce up their garden, mixing a new colour for their bedroom or serving with a smile at the till there will always be something to keep you busy. And we can offer a range of contracts".
