Carpetright business review sees departure of IT and e-commerce director

Carpetright group IT and e-commerce director Ian Woosey has been made redundant following a review of the business.

Woosey had been at the floorings giant for nearly 10 years and had “transformed the business with award winning solutions”, according to a Carpetright spokesman.

The spokesman added that Woosey pioneered Carpetright’s e-commerce and multi-channel initiatives and developed its online business.

The spokesperson said: “Following a review of our future requirements and an internal re-organisation, the role of group IT & e-commerce director has been made redundant.

“As a result of these changes, Ian Woosey left the business at the end of last month. We wish him all the best for the future.”

The IT department will continue to be headed by Jason Turner, with e-commerce, being led by Karen Botha.
