Crystal Direct Launches on Woodies.ie, Accelerating Digital Growth in Ireland

Crystal Direct launches on Woodie's

Crystal Direct has officially launched its range of uPVC windows and doors on Woodies, marking a significant step in the company’s expansion into the Irish home improvement market.

The launch brings a curated range of high-specification, A-rated windows and doors to Irish consumers via Woodies’ growing online platform, with products now available for home delivery nationwide.

This partnership reflects the continued shift in how customers research and purchase more complex home improvement categories, with digital channels playing an increasingly central role in product discovery, comparison and decision-making.

A strategic move into a growing digital market

For Crystal Direct, the launch represents a key milestone in extending its digital reach beyond the UK. By partnering with Woodies, one of Ireland’s leading DIY and home improvement retailers, Crystal is able to bring its specialist product range to a wider audience, supported by strong product data, clear presentation and a seamless online journey.

The range includes double-glazed, energy-efficient windows and doors designed to meet modern performance standards, combining practicality with ease of specification for both homeowners and trade customers.

Powered by scalable digital infrastructure

The launch has been enabled through Woodies’ partnership with Virtualstock, whose platform supports rapid supplier onboarding and range expansion. This technology allows retailers like Woodies to scale their online assortment efficiently, increasing product availability without the need for additional stockholding, while maintaining control over product data and customer experience.

Woodies has already seen significant benefits from this approach, including a measurable uplift in online range and faster time-to-market for new suppliers.

Meeting changing customer expectations

The addition of Crystal Direct windows and doors highlights a broader shift within the home improvement sector.

Customers increasingly expect:

  • Greater choice online
  • Clear, accurate product information
  • Confidence when purchasing more complex, considered items

Doors and windows, traditionally a store-led category, are now becoming part of a more integrated omnichannel journey, where digital plays a critical role earlier in the decision-making process.

Comment

Kevin Morgan, Managing Director of Crystal Direct said:

“We’re delighted to launch with Woodies and bring our range to customers across Ireland. This partnership is about more than distribution, it’s about aligning with a retailer that is investing in digital, customer experience and range expansion.

As customers increasingly start their journey online, it’s essential that complex categories like windows and doors are presented clearly, accurately and with confidence. This launch is an important step in that direction.”

Looking ahead

The launch forms part of Crystal’s broader strategy to expand its presence across digital retail channels, working with partners that prioritise customer experience, product data quality and scalable growth.

As retailers continue to invest in omnichannel capabilities, partnerships like this are set to play a key role in shaping the future of home improvement retail.
