Dobbies To Open Garden Centres From Tomorrow
Dobbies has confirmed it will be opening its network of 54 garden centres as of tomorrow.
Earlier this week, the government announced that garden centres could reopen as of Wednesday 13th May.
To comply with government guidance, Dobbies is introducing a number of social distancing and safety rules to ensure customers and staff are kept safe. Customer numbers will be limited to ensure the two-metre distancing rule can be followed, and a queuing system will be in place. Hand sanitiser and trolley cleaning stations will be positioned at store entrances and plastic screens and additional PPE will protect staff at the checkout.
Dobbies restaurants remain closed, but a takeaway menu offering hot and cold drinks and food is being introduced as of the 15th May.
Dobbies CEO, Graeme Jenkins, said: “We have taken care to ensure we are following guidance provided by the Government, British Retail Consortium and Horticultural Trade Association to reopen responsibly.
“Our team is well prepared, social distancing measures are in place and we look forward to welcoming customers back into our stores across England.”
