Flymo Cuts the Cord Six Decades After Taking Flight to Signal New Era

Flymo EasiHover mower

Flymo has launched the world's first cordless hover collect lawnmower – more than 60 years after taking flight.

The iconic hover mower brand has cut the cord with the 36V EasiHover 300 to provide the fastest way to a tidy lawn and signal the start of a new era.

In 1965, Flymo revolutionised lawncare forever by combining a hovercraft with a lawnmower to create a flying mower that would glide on a cushion of air.

Now, six decades on, the 36V EasiHover is designed for fast mowing on sloped, curved and compact lawns to make light work of tricky inclines, tight corners and around flower beds.

Cordless power removes the hassle of cables, while the compacting collection system means fewer emptying stops and the quick-fold handles and vertical storage enables gardeners to pack away neatly.

Howard Scott, Flymo’s UK Country Manager, said: “The first hover took flight six decades ago, and now we’ve cut the cord to mark another world-first.

“Just like the revolutionary Flymo original, it floats on a cushion of air to move freely around your lawn - making light work of tricky areas and tight corners.

“Smooth to handle, simple to store, and built for speed, the 36V EasiHover 300 is the return of a gardening legend - and the fast, frictionless way to keep even the most challenging lawn layouts looking sharp.”

The Flymo 36V EasiHover 300 is available now at Argos, Amazon, and Very.
