Former Homebase director to join Wyevale Garden Centres
According to trade publication Retail Week, the former commercial director of Homebase – Paul Emslie – is to join Wyevale Garden Centres.
His new role is understood to be that of trading and marketing director.
Emslie was one of a many senior Homebase staff made to leave the business just a few weeks after its sale to Australian conglomerate, Wesfarmers.
Wyevale Garden Centres is currently reshaping its management team, having recently (March 2016) appointed Roger Mclaughlan as Chief Executive Officer.
Terra Firma, the private equity firm which owns Wyevale Garden Centres, is believed to have submitted a bid for Tesco-owned garden centre chain, Dobbies, although this remains unconfirmed.
