George Adams appointed Non-Exec at SCS

Furniture and flooring retailer ScS has appointed former Kingfisher executive George Adams as a non-executive director.

Adams worked with Kingfisher for 16 years in roles which included chief executive of Europe development, group commercial director, and commercial managing director for B&Q. He has also held chief executive positions at Spicers Group and Maxeda DIY Group.

At ScS, Adams will chair the remuneration committee.

Commenting on the appointment, Alan Smith, ScS non-executive chairman, said: "I am delighted to welcome George to the board of ScS. George's strong retail and consumer goods background will be of great value, and I look forward to his contribution."
