IKEA Norwich is the second of three new-format small stores to open this year, following the opening of IKEA Harlow in July, and with another small store planned to open in Chester in the coming months.

The new retail park locations are designed to offer a simpler, faster shopping experience for customers, where they can explore inspiring roomsets, shop second-hand finds, and take home a wide range of home furnishings and small furniture items the same day. Dedicated planning services for kitchens and bedrooms are also available, supported by a team of knowledgeable co-workers ready to help customers design their dream spaces.

Along with the option to buy pre-loved items, customers can order from IKEA’s 12,000 strong product range, which can be delivered directly to their home or collected from the store, with free collection in 48 hours. Visitors can also enjoy a selection of Swedish food to eat in or take away.

In the store, customers can shop and browse from the latest collections and iconic essentials including:

  • METOD kitchens and PAX wardrobes
  • IVRIG glasses (£1.25)
  • DRÖNA storage boxes (£3)
  • RÖDALM picture frames (£7)

Milosz Grobelny, Unit Manager for IKEA Norwich, said: “Our new small store allows customers to shop with IKEA quickly and conveniently – whether they’re seeking home furnishing inspiration, support with planning their dream kitchen, some of our signature food or just looking to browse.

“We are so excited about this new offering in Norwich, and I am so grateful to the community for giving us such a warm welcome today.”

Lord Mayor Councillor Paul Kendrick added: “IKEA’s arrival in Norwich marks a significant investment in our city’s future, creating new jobs and strengthening our reputation as a thriving retail and business destination. It’s a really positive step forward for our local economy and community.”

The opening of IKEA Norwich forms part of a landmark year for IKEA’s UK expansion. IKEA is set to open a further two Plan and Order Points in Dundee and York and another small store in Chester in 2025.

IKEA Norwich is open Monday to Saturday 10am – 8pm and Sundays 10:30am – 4:30pm.
