Home Bargains Opens in Former Homebase Store in Macclesfield
Home Bargains opened a new store and garden centre in Macclesfield on Saturday 17th August.
The store is located on Lyme Green Retail Park on the site of a former Homebase unit which was one of the first wave of stores to close after the company's shareholders voted to undertake a Company Voluntary Arrangement.
Home Bargains is understood to have invested over £800,000 in converting the 26,000sq ft store refurbishment, and 40 new store jobs were created in the process.
Home Bargains' Operations Director, Joe Morris, said: “We’re thrilled to be launching our first store in Macclesfield and look forward to welcoming customers through the doors.
“Lyme Green Retail Park will be a great location for us.”
