Homebase employee ready for Chelsea challenge
An exemplary Homebase employee has been selected from 19,000 colleagues to work on the company's show garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Matt Rowell, who is 21 and lives in Larchfield, will be working to produce the garden alongside award-winning garden designer Adam Frost at the London show which is held from Tuesday, May 21 until Friday, May 25.
Matt, who has worked at the store in Stafferton Way for six years, was nominated by regional manager Carl Baldon for his high level of horticultural knowledge and customer service skills.
The garden will be called 'Sowing the seeds of change,' and has been designed as a modern family garden to encourage people to engage with nature.
Former Cox Green School pupil Matt said: “It is going to be a great experience and I'm really looking forward to working with Adam and being able to bring back some tips to tell my store colleagues and customers."
