Homebase expands business sector with Decorating Card
Homebase has launched a new initiative to help landlords and tenants involved in social housing – the Homebase Decorating Card.
The cards represent a safe, convenient and cost-effective method for housing associations or landlords to encourage residents to decorate and maintain their properties.
Homebase provides ‘empty’ cards to the housing association, who can then determine the exact value they wish to preload for each tenant. The cards can be activated within 24 hours, after which the tenant can visit any of the 340+ Homebase stores to select from a vast range of pre-approved decorating items.
This allows landlords to retain control over decorating budgets while providing tenants with the opportunity to personalise their living space. Detailed reports on purchase history are provided to the card provider, and generous discounts are applied at the point of invoice.
The cards represent a safe and secure method of payment, and can be easily cancelled if they are lost or stolen. Single or multiple transactions are allowed, allowing the tenant even more freedom to purchase the items they require.
Two housing associations which have successfully adopted the scheme are the Guiness Trust and Helm Housing. Case studies are available on the Homebase Decorating Card website, which can be accessed using the following address: http://hbm.infxsolutions.com/index.shtml
