Homebase horticulture staff leave the business

It has been reported that around 20 members of staff left their roles at the Homebase horticulture office in Swindon on Monday 6th August.

The remaining staff - understood to be comprised of senior buyers and merchandisers - will remain at the office until November, after which it will close.

In future, all Homebase's horticulture buying will take place from the Milton Keynes offices, where a new team is expected to be put in place.

When approached by Horticulture Week, Homebase would not confirm if any of the staff would be transferring from Swindon to Milton Keynes, although it is thought that Steve Pitcher will remain as category manager.
