Homebase launches Irish Credit Card

Homebase is continuing to step up its investment within the Republic of Ireland with news this week that it has launched an interest free credit option for its Irish customers.

Homebase is the first DIY/home enhancement retailer to offer a finance facility in the Republic of Ireland. The offer is based on the Spend & Save Credit Card available in the UK and has been developed following customer feedback which indicated there was substantial demand for customers to be able to buy now and pay later, especially for larger purchases such as kitchens and bathrooms.

Homebase client services manager, Michelle Rees said of the new offer: “It was clear from the feedback we received from customers that there was demand for a credit offer such as this. Customers who want to take up the interest free offer benefit from a minimum spend of just €300 and a full 12 months to pay off the balance. We've seen growing demand for larger products within kitchens, bathrooms, furniture and conservatories so it was important to us to ensure we could offer our customers the best possible finance option to help them make the purchase they want and turn their house into a home.”

The launch of the new credit offer follows just a year after Homebase announced it launched a brand new home delivery service for its range of kitchen and bathrooms. Now, not only can customers buy now and pay later with no additional interest, but they can also have it delivered to their home.
