Homebase Southport understood to be facing closure

At a meeting held today [4th June 2013] at Homebase Southport members of staff were told that Sainsbury's have applied for planning permission to take over the store and turn it into a supermarket.

Staff at Homebase are concerned about their job security.

At the present time Homebase PR department have refused to comment on the matter.
