Iceland launches white goods and appliances website
Frozen food supermarket chain Iceland has launched a new online white goods store in partnership with DRL, the parent company of AO.com (Appliances Online).
Iceland Appliances, which can be accessed via www.iceland.co.uk, offers more than 2,800 products from 29 major brands, with a Price Match guarantee backed by daily checking of more than 25,000 prices against its competitors.
Customers can order up to midnight for next-day delivery - deliveries will be made nationwide, seven days a week. An Iceland Appliances call centre in Bolton, Lancashire, will be responsible for customer service. Staff aim to answer calls within 20 seconds and lines are open from 8am to 10pm, seven days a week.
Iceland's director of delivered sales, John Mackie, commented: "Iceland has a great heritage in appliances and was for many years the UK's top seller of fridges and freezers. We are really excited to be going back into this market, offering an even wider range of top quality appliances, with a Price Match guarantee and the exceptional levels of service that customers already receive from Iceland when they buy their food from us in store or online. The launch of Iceland Appliances builds on the success of our online grocery shopping service, which has exceeded all our expectations."

I find the news and articles they publish really useful and enjoy reading their views and commentary on the industry. It's the only source of quality, reliable information on our major customers and it's used regularly by myself and my team.
