IKEA Launches New Life At Home Offering To Address Evolving Needs Of Modern Living

Six IKEA flags (corporate)

IKEA unveils Life at Home, an innovative new offering that introduces a series of expanded services tailored to meet a variety of at-home needs. The initiative begins with the launch of three newly available services – Home move & setup, Energy Services and IKEA Family Credit Card - which remove the hassle of relocating, make sustainable energy solutions more accessible for households, and provide customers with flexible home finance options.

Building on its long-standing expertise in affordable design solutions for every home, IKEA is expanding its commitment to creating a better everyday life by introducing services that address the changing lifestyles, aspirations, and needs of modern customers.

These services create a fully integrated approach to home living that simplify and enrich daily life. They connect furnishings, sustainable energy solutions, and practical support like utility transfers and physical moving assistance to make relocating effortless. Home move & setup, Energy Services and IKEA Family Credit Card, which provides customers with flexible home finance options *, are now available nationwide.

“At IKEA, we’ve always been driven by the mission to create a better everyday life for people. The Life at Home offering reflects this commitment. It’s a comprehensive collection of services that not only makes life at home more convenient and affordable but also empowers our customers to live more sustainably. With solutions that span moving home, energy and financial services, we’re making it easier for our customers to navigate life’s moments and transitions.” Ashley Hamilton, UKIE Customer Manager for IKEA

Home Move & Setup: Simplifying the Moving Experience

Home move & setup, currently being trialled and delivered in collaboration with Just Move In, is designed to reduce the stress of moving home. The service handles time-consuming tasks like utility transfers (gas, electricity, water and council tax), comparing and setting up broadband and TV subscriptions (e.g., digital media and TV license), and even redirecting mail, allowing customers to focus on personalising their new dream home.

The service also covers physical relocation needs, offering professional support for removals, secure storage and deep cleaning, ensuring a smooth and worry-free transition into a new home.

With use of the home move & setup service available for free and professional services at competitive prices, customers can simply sign up online with Just Move In and tailor their Move & Setup experience to their needs. From there, Just Move In facilitates the process, including utility transfers and notifying subscription providers.

Energy Services: Powering the future with IKEA’s recommended renewable energy providers

Energy Services is a significant step in IKEA’s broader sustainability strategy, contributing to the transition toward a net-zero society by empowering customers to reduce non-renewable energy consumption in their homes. This initiative highlights IKEA’s role not just as a retailer but as a partner in helping customers achieve meaningful environmental impact.

IKEA’s recommended renewable energy providers aim to make renewable energy more accessible and affordable. IKEA’s aim is to connect customers with trusted providers who share IKEA's commitment to quality and sustainability for smarter, more efficient energy solutions, including Aira Heat Pumps and Soly Solar Panels, Batteries, and EV Chargers.

IKEA customers will benefit from a comprehensive one-stop shop experience. With Aira, this includes everything from the initial free energy assessment and system design to installation and 15-years of aftercare with the all-inclusive plan, and smart energy management.

With Soly, customers will gain access to advanced renewable technology, tailored advice from true solar experts and installation from certified technicians, all backed up by access to their app, and a smart home energy management system (Soly Brain).

By partnering with trusted providers, IKEA offers customers peace of mind as they access high-quality, affordable solutions, making the switch to renewable energy seamless and stress-free.

IKEA Family Credit Card

The IKEA Family Credit Card provides a payment solution tailored for small- to medium-ticket purchases. The card offers flexible repayment options and exclusive benefits, both in and out of IKEA*.

With 0% interest instalment plans on qualifying purchases, the card facilitates customers looking to furnish their homes. Purchases between £99 and £299 can be paid over 3 months interest-free, while purchases up to £1,200 and £2,000 can be spread over 10- and 20-month terms respectively.** To simplify the experience, subject to eligibility, instalments can be activated after the transaction, offering ultimate control and convenience.

Whether it’s a planned purchase, unexpected expense, or to spread payments over time, the card offers greater choice for customers to manage the important things in life; helping them create their dream life at home or meet unexpected needs.

Beyond the instalments, IKEA Family Credit Card customers enjoy zero joining, annual, or statement fees, as well as up to 56 days of interest-free credit on all purchases. For added flexibility, the card is compatible with digital wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay. It also provides seamless online account management through the IKEA Financial Services app.

With rewards deeply integrated into the IKEA Family membership programme, shoppers can earn IKEA Family Reward points with every purchase they make in or outside of IKEA. 1 point for every £5 spent at IKEA and 1 point for every £10 spent at any other retailer. Points can be redeemed for discounts, free items, and other perks.
