IKEA submits plans for Exeter store
Plans for the new IKEA store in Exeter have now been formally submitted to Exeter CIty Council.
If approved, the store will be built on land off Newcourt Way, near Sandy Park on the A379.
The plans show that the store will be sited on an area of land which is 115,882.00 square metres in length and surrounded by a residential construction site and an existing residential development. An industrial park and farmland are situated to the west of the site and a railway to the east.
The planning statement said: "Loading and unloading of vehicles or moving equipment or materials around the site will be conducted in such a manner as to minimise noise generation Noise complaints, or exceeding of agreed levels will be reported to the contractor and immediately investigated."
