Ironmongery Direct recruits two new product managers
Online and mail order retailer Ironmongery Direct has appointed two new managers to its product management team.
Lili Wang has been recruited as product manager for cabinet hardware, seals and sliding doors, while David Saxby has been appointed as product manager for door furniture, bolts, stops, accessories, shelving and storage.
Wang’s previous experience includes six years at Dalebrook Supplies where she started out as purchasing manager before taking up the role of sales manager for Asia. Meanwhile, Saxby worked for 17 years at Arrow Electronics as a purchasing manager.
Commenting on his new role Saxby said: "One of the things that attracted me to Ironmongery Direct was the continued growth of the business, achieved over a short period of time. Having a background in distribution I'm looking forward to the challenge of sourcing new products and suppliers in new markets, which offers a great deal of flexibility and creativity in the role."
Last year, Ironmongery Direct increased its sales by 22% to £18.1 million. The company is working to towards a goal of stocking 20,000 products in a few years time.
