Jake Hill To Appear At Selco Camberley Next Week

Surrey motorsport enthusiasts will have the chance to go full throttle against recent British Touring Car champion Jake Hill at a special event at a leading builders merchant next week.

Jake, the 2024 champion driver, will be appearing at the Camberley store of Selco Builders Warehouse at Tuscan Trade Park on Trafalgar Way on Tuesday, October 21, between 10am and 2pm, with a racing simulator in operation from 8.30am.

Customers and other members of the general public will be invited to challenge Jake on the simulator in the special ‘Silverstone Showdown,’ as well as meet and ask questions of the 31-year-old star.

The event is taking place as part of Selco’s partnership with the Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport team, of which Jake has been the driver for the last four seasons.

He has recently announced that he will be ending his association with the Touring Cars scene to pursue international racing challenges.

Jake said: “I’m very excited to be going to Selco Camberley. It’s the third of five events we are staging at Selcos across the country in the second half of 2025 and the first two have been fantastic.

“Meeting the fans has one of the most enjoyable parts of life as a British Touring Car Championship driver and, now I’ve announced my departure from the series, I’m going to relish these final chances to interact with the most important people in any sport.

“I’m looking forward to getting in the simulator and taking on all-comers on the day and trying to make sure not too many people beat my fastest lap!

“Selco have been fantastic partners for myself and the team this year and I’m delighted to be able to give something back by coming to Camberley and four other stores.”

Prizes, including tickets to a future British Touring Car Championship race day, will be on offer for those taking part in the simulator challenge.

Simon Humpage, Head of Multi-Channel Marketing for Selco, said: “We are thrilled to be taking our flagship sponsorship on the road with Jake appearing at a number of our stores across the country.

“We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our partnership with Jake and the MB Motorsport team this season and many of our colleagues and customers have had a day to remember at the various events across the country.

“This will be a unique opportunity for our customers and colleagues to not only meet a big name in British motorsport but also take on Jake on one of the major tracks in the UK via the simulator and before he leaves the BTCC scene.”

With hundreds of trade brands always in stock, Selco’s 74 UK branches are firmly focused on helping tradespeople complete their jobs as quickly and effectively as possible.

As well as offering trade services, Selco also has a strong digital presence including Click & Deliver and Click & Collect services and an app - as well as a ‘Dial & Deliver’ telephone service - to make life as convenient as possible for tradespeople.
