Jewson Aberdeen Opens Doors Following Refurbishment

Jewson Aberdeen refurbishment

Jewson Aberdeen officially opened its doors to its newly refurbished branch on Friday (6 March), with sporting legends and the local community attending to mark the occasion.

As part of the event, over £400 was raised for local charity Whiteley’s Retreat, which provides free respite breaks and extended support to children, young people and their families with cancer or a life limiting illness across Scotland.

Gordon Strachan, Jimmy Bullard and John Henderson took on guests in a series of football and darts challenges, while local vendors including Aberdam Fries, served up free food and drinks. There was live entertainment from DJ and TikTok personality Graeme Strachan, as well as on-the-day deals, a charity raffle, giveaways, and supplier demos for local builders and tradespeople to enjoy.

The branch – located on The Parkway at the Bridge of Don – now stocks thousands of extra products and materials, so Aberdeen’s builders and tradespeople can find everything they need for their projects in one place, with a huge choice of plumbing and heating materials to choose from, and an extensive UPVC cladding, soffits and fascias range.

Jewson has also expanded its in-branch tool hire offering and appointed a new Tool Hire Manager, Scott Gavin.

Customers can now benefit from drive-in loading bays, where timber is kept dry undercover to protect it from the elements, while the new bathroom showroom also provides customers with access to an on-hand specialist.

Following customer feedback during the refurbishment, the existing Jewson Aberdeen team has also grown, with more experts now on hand to support on the branch floor.

Builders and tradespeople can also use the branch to benefit from Project Estimator, an estimating service from Jewson that will help them save time in planning their projects, to win more work, and save money on materials.

There are also free hot drinks available every day.

Iain Christie, Branch Director at Jewson Aberdeen, said: “The launch event was a huge success, with more than 200 locals joining us to celebrate this important milestone, after months of hard work from the team to get the branch ready.

“We hope to continue the celebratory feel over the coming weeks, and we welcome local tradespeople to pop in for a free hot drink, meet with our friendly, knowledgeable team and have a look around the new Jewson Aberdeen Branch of the Future.”

Jewson Aberdeen traded throughout its refurbishment, and the team would like to thank the customers who continued to visit the branch during the improvement works.

Jewson Aberdeen is open Monday-Friday from 7:30am to 5pm, and on Saturday from 8am to 12pm, on The Parkway at the Bridge of Don, AB23 8HE.
