Jewson plans 24 hour delivery service to avoid Olympic travel delays
With travel disruption expected over the summer months, Jewson has announced that it will be opening late in key locations and delivering throughout the night within the M25 region.
From 16 July to 14 September Jewson customers within the M25 can enjoy an enhanced 24-hour delivery service. Lorries will deliver throughout the night from Jewson's Leytonstone branch to make sure that any disruption caused by heavy traffic during the day does not affect customers' work schedules.
By appointment, account customers can also collect 24 hours a day from Leytonstone.
In addition, extended opening hours – from 6.30am to 8.00pm – at Croydon Purley Way, Watford Caxton Way, Acton High Street and Cricklewood Broadway mean that even for last-minute requirements there is a Jewson branch located just a short drive off the M25.
To ensure customers can place and keep track of their orders Jewson has also set up a 24-hour monitored telephone line and dedicated email address which will operate during the period.
