JLP names new MD

The John Lewis Partnership has today announced that Andy Street has been appointed Managing Director of the John Lewis Department Stores.

Andy Street, aged 42, has been with JLP for 21 years, holding a variety of senior trading and executive roles including Managing Director of the Milton Keynes and flagship Bluewater stores, as well as being Supply Chain Director for the John Lewis Department Stores.

Sir Stuart Hampson, Chairman of The John Lewis Partnership said "Andy will bring excellent commercial skills to the role as well as a great understanding of people and commitment to the Partnership spirit.

Andy Street added "I'm very excited to have the opportunity to lead our department store business. I look forward to growing it and building on its current excellent run of form".
