John Lewis showcases fitted bathrooms in Milton Keynes branch
John Lewis has launched its first ever fitted bathrooms department as part of its Home division's plans to cater for every room in the house.
The new assortment has been installed at John Lewis in Milton Keynes as part of a multimillion-pound refurbishment of the store which showcases the retailer’s new Home Vision 2 concept.
Matt Thomas, buyer, fitted furniture said: "We have a wealth of experience in fitted kitchens, and moving into bathrooms is a key objective for Home over the next two years. This allows us to trial a new 'fitted studio' format, which brings kitchens and bathrooms into one area."
Thomas said the Milton Keynes store features 12 displays, from a small cloakroom to a large family bathroom, and praised the branch's Partners for embracing the challenge of a new and complex assortment.
The retailer said initial footfall in the department had been "good" and that it had already been out on the first planning visit for two bathrooms.
