Kingfisher Launches Alara Room Divider Range

The impact of the coronavirus pandemic forced many of us to work from home, and those without designated home-working space found themselves tapping away at laptops on the kitchen table or sat on the sofa.  Almost overnight, lockdown saw our homes take on new functions - classrooms, workplaces, gyms - meaning that finding the right space to concentrate on the task in hand was a challenge, even before factoring in the difficulties of separating home and work life.

Those unaccustomed to spending extra time in the home environment found themselves considering their surroundings more than ever before, wondering how their homes could be reconfigured to make for a more harmonious home and work experience.

To help consumers make the most of their space, Kingfisher has developed a new range of customisable room dividers: Alara, sold under the B&Q GoodHome fascia.

Features and benefits:

  • Alara has been designed with everyday life in mind. You can use it in your home with the confidence that it is robust and safe.
  • The simple and secure push-fit connections make the Alara system very easy to install.
  • Use the pinboard to keep important notes organised and photographs on display
  • Lightweight honeycomb design with wooden frame results in a very strong, robust panel which is easy to install.
  • Panels can be combined to meet the height of any ceiling between 230cm to 282cm
  • All panels up to 100cm x 100cm are designed to fit into a small car, allowing you to get this home easily

Alara room dividers can be customised to fit your space and needs. Different panels and post extenders can be used for different ceiling heights, while feature sections such as windows, shelving, and cork pinboards can also be included. Watch B&Q's buying guide video to understand exactly what you need for your space.

B&Q said: "Whether dividing your kids’ bedrooms, installing a makeshift hallway or creating a separate office space free from distractions – installing an Alara room divider is simple."
