Leroy Merlin Opens Express Format In Spain
Leroy Merlin has opened an innovative, small-format, 750 m2 store in the heart of Madrid, Spain, under the Express fascia.
The new store format already exists in Brazil and has now opened in Spain, offering 4,000 products in store and 8,000 to order, available within 24 hours.
The store has replaced a former Aki (home improvement and gardening store) which underwent a €75,000 renovation.
The store offers a delivery service using motorcycles and hybrid vehicles and, when it is closed, shoppers can scroll through a range of products which can be delivered in as little as four hours.
Other services include home repair assistance.
