Leroy Merlin opens in Bucharest
French home-improvement and gardening retailer Leroy Merlin recently opened a store in the Sun Plaza shopping mall in Bucharest, replacing the former bauMax store.
It is the fourth store under its own brand and the second former bauMax re-branded. The French retailer bought the local bauMax chain in 2014.
The store covers a 12,000 sqm area and has almost 100 employees.
Leroy Merlin has two stores in Bucharest, in the Sun Plaza and Colosseum shopping centers, one in Craiova, within the Electroputere Mall and one in Blejoi, near Ploiesti.
The company is part of the French group Adeo and has 370 stores in 12 countries.
