Morrisons on the Up
Morrisons announced today that sales during the key six week Christmas and New Year period, increased by 6.3% excluding fueland 6.0% including fuel.
In the 49 weeks of their trading year to 7th January 2007, like for like sales rose 5.4% excluding fuel and were up 6.3% including fuel.
A spokesman from Morrisons stated that the results were ahead of expectations, but that the trading environment remained tough.
