Future, the organisers of the National Homebuilding & Renovating Show have confirmed that the 26th - 29th March event, at the NEC, has been postponed due to coronavirus concerns.

The rescheduled event will take place on Thursday 9th July - Sunday 12th July, 2020.

Future said in a statement:

"Homebuilding & Renovating Show has been following Government guidelines regarding the continuation of our event surrounding the outbreak of Coronavirus.  However, as the news has been progressing we have listened to the concerns, from all parties, around the health and welfare of their staff.

"As a company we are becoming increasingly concerned for the wellbeing of our visitors, exhibitors and staff, and as this is our first priority, we have taken the extremely difficult decision to postpone The National Homebuilding & Renovating Show at the NEC, until July 9-12th.  We are now working through the ramifications of this unprecedented situation."

Nick Noble, commercial & events director at Future, said: “We have been monitoring the situation very closely and listening to the feedback of everyone concerned, and took the decision to provide total clarity to the marketplace. Naturally, we regret that we are having to postpone the event, however, the safety and welfare of our staff, exhibitors and visitors is paramount. We have been following the advice and guidance issued by the Government and believe that it is the right decision at this time.

“However, we plan to hold the event in four months’ time when we believe the situation in the UK will be much clearer and we can continue to maximise the opportunities and investment made by all our exhibitors.”

He added: “At this stage we have no plans to postpone any of the other shows during the year, however, we are continuing to monitor the events and will work closely with the exhibitors to evaluate the situation on an ongoing basis. We would like to thank everyone for their support at this time and will continue to update the market over the next few weeks.”
