New Owner of The Very Group Reportedly Planning Sale

Sky News reports that the private equity owner of The Very Group is planning to put the business up for sale.

In November 2025, The Very Group announced that global investment firm Carlyle had become the Company’s owner and that international media group IMI would continue as a key stakeholder.  

Sky News has learned that Barclays and JP Morgan will conduct an auction of the online retail business which has a client base of over 4 million customers. Very sells a wide range of goods, including fashion, electricals, home and toys and reported revenue of £2.09 bn in 2025.
