On Par For Purpose: Crown Paints’ Golf Day Supports Mind

Crown Paints Golf Day

Crown Paints has hosted a golf day fundraiser in support of its official charity partner, Mind, with around £20,000 going towards mental health initiatives across England and Wales.

The event took place at the picturesque Brocket Hall in Hertfordshire, where guests, colleagues and partners came together for a day of friendly competition, fundraising and community spirit.

The sun-soaked event welcomed dozens of teams from across the business, alongside partners and customers, all teeing off with a shared commitment to raising funds for and awareness of mental health services.

The golf day aimed to open up conversations around mental health in the industry – helping to break down stigma and encourage dialogue to create a more supportive and open working environment for all.

Mind, the leading mental health charity in England and Wales, offers vital support to those experiencing mental health problems, and Crown Paints is committed to backing its important mission. The funds raised from the golf day will help further Mind’s work providing advice and support, as well as campaigning to improve mental health services and awareness.

Nigel Emmanuel, Commercial Director at Crown Paints, said: “We are absolutely thrilled with the turnout and generosity shown at our charity golf day. Mental health affects us all, and it’s inspiring to see so many of our colleagues, customers and partners unite for such an important cause. Mind’s work is truly life-changing, and we’re proud to continue our support.

“We’d like to thank our customers, suppliers and partners for their incredible support and involvement in making the day such a success.”

Andrew Berrie, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Mind, said: “We’d like to say a big thank you to Crown Paints. The funds raised will enable us to keep our helplines open, power our online community Side by Side and strengthen our network of local Minds across England and Wales.

“Events like this not only help raise essential funds, but they prompt important conversations about mental health too. Together, we can challenge stigma and make it easier for people to ask for help, ensuring that no mind is left behind.”

Over the coming months, teams across Crown Paints will take part in further fundraising activities, awareness campaigns and volunteering opportunities, with colleagues encouraged to bring forward ideas and local initiatives they feel passionate about.

Crown Paints is part of the Hempel Group, a global coatings company committed to sustainability and social responsibility. As part of its ESG strategy, Project Possible, the business continues to invest in people-focused initiatives that create long-term, positive change.
