Rescue Deal Expected For Bensons For Beds
Alteri Investors is understood to be planning to re-acquire Bensons For Beds via a pre-pack administration, according to Sky News.
The turnaround specialist is not understood to be interested in acquiring sister company Harveys which would mean a loss of almost 700 jobs if another buyer is not forthcoming.
Both Bensons For Beds and Harveys were put up for sale in mid-March by Alteri, which acquired the chains' parent company - Blue Group - from Steinhoff in November 2019.
Blue Group also comprises the manufacturers Relyon, Steinhoff UK Beds and Formation Furniture, which supply furniture to other UK retailers.
Recent annual sales figures across the group were in excess of £500m.
