Selco to take on former Warrington B&Q store

Local press has reported that part of Warrington’s former B&Q store, which closed in January, is to be converted into a Selco builders’ merchants and storage facility.

The owner of the building – Friends Life Ltd – is understood to have gained approval for the required changes to the site on 21^st July.

Plans include the creation of a new entrance and service doors, along with car park alterations which will see available spaces reduce from the current 200 to 190. 

Selco is part of Grafton Group Plc, a builders merchanting and DIY Group with operations in the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands and Belgium.

The Selco website is currently displaying a 'property requirements' page, which outlines the locations and types of property it is seeking as part of its UK expansion plans.
