Tesco CEO To Extend Tenure Until End Of September

Further to the CEO Succession announcement dated 2 October 2019, Tesco PLC confirms that Ken Murphy will take up the role of Group Chief Executive on 1 October 2020 and will join the Board on the same date, after fully respecting his contractual non-compete obligations.

To facilitate a smooth and seamless handover, Dave Lewis has agreed to extend his tenure as Group Chief Executive until 30 September 2020.

Tesco recently announced results for the festive trading period, advising of a 'strong performance in a subdued market'.
