Tesco Launches Online Marketplace

Tesco has announced the launch of Marketplace, giving customers the opportunity to shop thousands of products from trusted brand partners online, alongside the groceries they know and love.

Tesco Marketplace will offer customers a wide range of high-quality brands and products from our specially selected partners, seamlessly integrated into their online grocery shopping experience.

Customers will be able to shop Marketplace across and the Tesco grocery app, and will be able to earn Clubcard points on all their purchases making shopping at Tesco even more rewarding.

Tesco Marketplace launches following a trial phase with Tesco colleagues over the past couple of months, providing the opportunity to test and learn how customers will use the platform. Today’s initial launch to customers offers around 9,000 products across ranges such as Garden & DIY, Home Accessories, Cook & Dine, Toys and Pet. Further products and ranges will be added over the coming months as Marketplace expands and evolves to meet customer shopping needs.

Marketplace builds on Tesco’s success as the UK’s leading online grocer, with over 22 million Clubcard members and 1.2m orders each week on It represents the next step in making shopping with Tesco even more convenient for customers, with even more products available in one place.

Establishing a Marketplace will allow Tesco to expand its online capacity, increase its range and explore new product areas – making a ‘one-stop shop’ for everything customers need, when it reaches scale.

Speaking about the launch of Marketplace, Peter Filcek, Marketplace Director at Tesco said: “This is a really exciting moment as we expand our online offer – making it even more convenient for customers to shop at Tesco and even more rewarding with customers able to collect Clubcard points on all purchases.
