The Range To Replace Former Greenock Homebase Unit

Greenock's former Homebase store is to reopen as The Range, having lain vacant since December 2018.

The Range is will open in the West Shaw street site next year, but no specific date has been given by the company. 

A spokesperson told local press: "We are looking to open a store in Greenock next year but don’t yet have any other information."

The Greenock store was one of the first 42 branches earmarked for closure when Homebase announced the approval of a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA).

At least 80 jobs are expected to be created when the new store opens.
