The Screwfix Foundation Launches In Ireland
Screwfix is proud to announce the launch of the Screwfix Foundation in Ireland, marking an exciting new milestone for colleagues, customers and local communities.
The Screwfix Foundation is a grant giving charity with a clear purpose to support projects that improve, repair and maintain buildings and facilities used by people in need, ranging from mental health charities and homeless shelters to hospices and food banks.
Building on over a decade of success in the UK, where the Screwfix Foundation has funded more than 3,000 local projects and raised over £15 million, the charity is now bringing that same community-first spirit to support those who need it most in Ireland.
To kick off the launch, the Screwfix Foundation are delighted to donate €1,000 to 26 local charities across the Republic of Ireland. Colleagues from all 40 Screwfix stores will have the chance to nominate a chosen charity to receive this funding.
“We're really excited to begin this journey and bring our community-first spirit to Ireland,” said Philip Barr, Screwfix Foundation Trustee, “Giving back to the community, supporting amazing projects and helping people who need it most is at the heart of everything we do. If you're a charity or not-for-profit organisation looking for funding, you can apply online from December.”
