Topps Tiles revenues down 1.2%

Ceramic tile and wood flooring specialist Topps Tiles have reported an improving trend at the start of the companies third quarter. Sales were down by 2.5% compared with the same period the previous year but an improvement on the 5.1% decline in sales in the first seven weeks of the third quarter.

Topps Tiles presently have 310 stores in the UK with eight new stores opened in the period while seven closed. Topps added in its brief trading update that there were no significant unexpected changes in the financial position of the Group since the publication of the Interim Report for the half year ended 3 April 2010.
