Travis Perkins appoints WPR to raise awareness of hire service

Building supplies giant Travis Perkins plc has appointed Willoughby PR to provide trade public relations support.

WPR's b2b team has initially been tasked with providing a press office function for seven brands in the company’s portfolio including Travis Perkins, Keyline, City Plumbing Supplies and Sustainable Building Solutions (SBS), as well as raising awareness of its hire service.

The agency said it will also be expected to "deliver a number of major projects" over the coming year.

Travis Perkins acquired WPR's longstanding clients BSS Industrial, PTS and F&P Wholesale in 2010.

Trade marketing director Linda Doughty said: "We have many exciting projects coming up and we’re looking forward to a proactive response by the specialist B2B team at WPR."
