Trex UK Launches TV Campaign

Trex 2026 campaign
  • A stage for life’s moments: Trex UK campaign launches with TV ad spotlighting decking’s role in everyday stories

Trex®, the world’s leading composite decking manufacturer, has unveiled its official 2026 UK campaign, Make Life Outstanding, inspired by the countless ways people spend time in their outdoor space.

The campaign positions the deck as a stage for life’s moments, playing an enduring role in familiar activities.

The nationwide launch – spanning television, social media, PR, podcasts and print advertising – marks a significant investment from Trex in its UK marketing presence.

Nine distinct personalities feature in the campaign, each symbolising a different benefit of Trex as they express themselves in their leisure time.

The TV commercial, directed and produced by Pace and with a voiceover by comedy actor and writer Angus Deayton, can be seen across Sky TV and video on demand.

Hailey Schnese, senior manager of brand marketing for Trex, said: “Make Life Outstanding is our biggest marketing investment yet in the UK market, at £664,000.

“The campaign celebrates the importance of outdoor living space in today’s UK homes. It conveys how a Trex deck is there to support all life’s moments, playing a subtle but reliable role in the way we express ourselves and spend our leisure time.

“And, because it’s Trex, it’s there through thick and thin, in all seasons, dependable and durable, redefining the everyday.”

The campaign’s personalities bring to life the many qualities of Trex through the way they spend time on their decks. A man perfecting a bonsai tree represents Trex’s flawless, screw-free finish, while a woman meditating and a child making a snow angel personify how Trex is respectively low-maintenance and weather-resistant.

An artist paints freely, demonstrating the deck’s stain-resistance; a barbecue party shows off its scratch-resistance; a fitness buff symbolises Trex’s 25-50-year limited residential warranties; while the splinter-free finish lets dogs run across the deck without concern for their paws.

Finally, a sun worshipper brings to life Trex’s unique SunComfortable™ technology, which is engineered to be cooler* than the manufacturer’s original boards, while a DIYer achieves outstanding results with easy installation.

Schnese added: “An investment in a campaign like this reflects Trex’s fast-growing popularity in the UK. People want an outdoor space fit to withstand our climate while freeing them up to spend time enjoying it instead of maintaining it – the perfect setting to Make Life Outstanding.”

The UK composite decking market is growing steadily, supporting a global trend away from timber and towards composite for its durability and low maintenance. Trex Company, the global market leader with annual revenues of around $1.2 billion, is increasing its focus on the UK as adoption continues to increase.

Trex is increasingly chosen as a more sustainable option, as it’s made from 95% recycled and reclaimed materials and is engineered to last, with up to 50-year limited residential warranties.

*Trex SunComfortable decking stays cooler than original Trex boards, but like all decking, it will get hot in direct sun, especially darker colours. Care should be taken to avoid extended contact between exposed skin and the deck surface, especially with young children and those with special needs.
